2019: FORMER DELTA PDP SCRIBE, UGBOMAH CONGRATULATES OKOWA ON HIS RE-ELECTION VICTORY, TASK HIM ON TACKLING URBAN DRIFT

Chairman, Oshimili South LGA of Delta State in 1998, Hon. Chief
Felix Uche Ugbomah has Congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on his re-election
victory in the just concluded elections of March 9th, 2019 Guber polls in the
state as he task him on checkmating the menace of urban drift for
socio-economic development in Delta.
Chief Alanza,
erstwhile PDP state youth leader (1999-2000) stated that the party's victory in
the just Concluded 2019 general election in the state is as result of Governor
Okowa has taken the good steps of Chief James Ibori as he was able to
galvanized the entire state today in terms of human relations and other notable
developmental strides in the area of infrastructure, human capital development.
The 2007 Delta
Ex- Commissioner on orientation and strategy addressed Newsmen in his Country
home at Oko in Oshimili South LGA of Delta State today, Commended Deltans,
Voters, the Electorates on their massive support across the three senatorial do
of the state which made it possible for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to emerge
victorious in his second term re-election bid.
Ugbomah, the
Ex-adviser to DTHA till 2015 added that Deltans had done well to have
re-elected Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as he has proven his administrative prowess
in the area of internal security, peace building and infrastructural
development.
In the words of the
1998 first Executive Chairman, Oshimili South LGA, Chief Felix Uche
Ugbomah: "Governor Okowa has done well in terms of
development. Development in the area of massive road constructions, drainage
system, across the three senatorial districts of the state, performed exploits
in Asaba International Airport, Stephen Keshi Stadium and others, but we
admonish him in his second term to dwell more on proffering solutions to
the problems of urban drift through viable Agricultural programs, development
of rural areas, riverine Communities and others".
" We commend our
PDP Leaders in the state for keeping to the already established arrangements
from the inception of democracy in 1999 in our state. The party had
resolved the zoning system with the three senatorial districts which we were
privileged to be part of the executive when James Manager as the Chairman of of
PDP in the state when the party was formed from the National to the states. We
once again commend the PDP Leadership of the likes of Chief James Ibori,
Olorogun Felix Ibru, Prof Sam Oyovbaire, Hon Oworebor, Chief E.K. Clark,
Sen. Osakwe, Prof. Ijeoma, Sen. Francis Nwajei(late), Prof. Osamor of Blessed
memory and others for making this a reality", Chief Ugbomah, Alanza
stated.
He then Commended
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for encouraging young people participation in Politics
which according to Ugbomah, erstwhile Delta PDP scribe (2000-2003) was more
prominent in Okowa's administration and party leaders in the state for the
immense support given to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
